The DB Museum in Koblenz was opened in April 2001 and was the first external location of the Transport Museum in Nuremberg. This was made possible solely due to volunteer management by members of the BSW (Foundation of Railway social workers) who are responsible for the preservation of historical trains. The DB Museum is located in the Lützel district of Koblenz in a former railway workshop. Until 1995, goods trains were still repaired here.

Today over 20 interesting locomotives and railway cars are exhibited in the hall and outdoor area. The main topics featured are “Travelling by Train” and “Electric Traction”.

For railway and model railway enthusiasts, the little shop by the entrance sells model railway items, literature and more.
