Magic of the past to touch

The history of the winegrowing village dates back to Roman times, which lies gently in a bend in the river Mosel in the immediate vicinity of the city of Koblenz. The magic of the past still lingers in the walls of the old half-timbered houses. Winningen is one of the most beautiful villages and was awarded with gold medals in the national and federal competition "our village has a future". Strolling through the narrow, winding streets, one encounters a still well-preserved horn gate, the testimony of the former 6 city gates and the market square. Here is definately something going on during the oldest wine festival in Germany.
