Maare-Mosel Cycle Route

The cycle route, 55 kilometres in length, stretches from Daun through the Eifel region via Wittlich to Bernkastel-Kues. Away from the traffic, you cycle along a former railway line through wonderful natural landscape, over viaducts and through long, illuminated tunnels. All along the way there are countless viewing points and lovely places for a rest or a picnic. A particular highlight for children is the stretch between Daun and Gillenfeld. This has been laid out as a children's cycle path with special information plaques for children.

The Regio Cyclist Bus (No. 1 - Maare-Mosel) offers a superb shuttle service. Hitch your bike onto the trailer and be taken to the starting point of your cycle tour at very little cost.
