Wine Museum

This is a modern museum concept comprising 20 exhibits with films and animations to provide you with a comprehensive insight into the 2.000 year history of wine and of the entire cultural landscape of the Mosel. Sightseeing flights over the Mosel are simulated on a 70" screen, and exploring the aromas in wines by means of an aroma-wheel you gain an insight into the basics of the sensory properties of wine. In the wine cinema you can look over the shoulders of vintners and in Mosel-VIP you get to know the public figures of the Mosel area and their opinions and attitudes on the subject of wine.

Banquet Hall

There is an impressive banquet hall for wine culture functions on the upper level of the museum. Each year on the first weekend in September the gala reception for the famous Mosel Wine Festival is held here. The banquet hall is also a particularly popular location for private festivities such as wedding receptions.

Viewings

During opening times. Additional viewings, arrangements for private festivities, guided tours and wine tastings in the banquet hall are available upon request.
