Founded in 1947, the St. Urbans winery is now managed by Nik Weis in the 3rd generation. Since 2000, the winery has been a member of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüter - Association of German Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüter - Association of Prädikat Wine Estates and Quality Wine Estates) and receives the best ratings from critics: 4 Gault-Millau grapes, 4 Eichelmann stars, 5 gourmet points, 5 Johnson stars and a recommendation from Falstaff speak for themselves.
The top wines are cultivated in the so-called "Leiwener Laurentiuslay", "Ockfener Bockstein" and "Piesporter Goldtröpfchen" large sites.
