In the year 1904, the large civil residence of the wine merchant and cellar-owner Adolph Huesgen was erected in the district of Traben in accordance with the plans of Berlin Art Nouveau architect Bruno Moehring. The villa, whose grounds include the garden with two Moselside pavilions and a small winery building on the street side, is regarded as an excellent example of this art movement and was constructed right next to the winery.

Today, the former large winery is only recognizable from its exterior walls. A theatre hall was housed on the attic floor, and hunting and wine enthusiasts used to meet here for stylish theatre evenings. Nowadays, the villa’s Art Nouveau room is used for wine tastings.
