Report an issueIn a tributary valley of the Mosel lies the Kautenbach valley – also known as Trarbach Schweiz. Only a few hundred metres from the Mosel Thermal Baths there is an information board with maps and guides of the Trabach Schweiz for hikers. Here, the fascinating rocky landscape invites nature lovers to embark on extensive hiking tours. Whether the “Felskanzeln”, Longkamp View or Owl Rock – there are some wonderful viewing points for the walker in the Kautenbach rock garden.
On the Woodsman's Path you will find the old pump house dating back to 1922, or discover the rock formation known as “Bischofsmütze” (mitre). In the Trarbach Schweiz, the beauty of nature can literally be found behind each rock. If you like walking barefoot, you can go along the rocky path behind the Kautenbach bridge until, after a short ascent, you come to the “Elfenpfad” (Elves' Path). Here, the moss feels cool and depending on the weather, hard or damp.
