Barefoot Path

The starting point for the Barefoot Path, created in 2013, is the car park of the old swimming pool/Schompenmühle in the village of Enkirch. From here on it's shoes and socks off and onward in your bare feet, for now the adventure begins. On balancing trunks, on stony or natural forest floor, the trail brings you to the Grossbach stream. Then past the mill between the stream and rock and even through the stream, through tennis sand or grass and even mud.

The route is about 2,000 metres long. The turning point is at the Grossbach Mill. The return journey takes you around Fallig Lake, after which it's time for a short break at the bench “Barfussruh” (Barefoot Rest). Then it's off again via sand, meadows and smooth Mosel gravel – the so-called “River Cats” - back to the starting point. The Barefoot Path offers fun and activity for all the family.
