Wine House Barzen

Alexander Barzen has wine growing in his blood because wine has been grown in his family for 500 years. Wine House Barzen is situated in the picturesque wine village of Reil, and not far from it, the “nursery” of its wines. Distinctive and fruity wines are produced here with a passion. Alexander Barzen is particularly proud of his “Edition Alte Reben” (“Old Vine Edition”) – and he should be because the old vines are over 100 years old and produce a particularly elegant Riesling wine. Planted by his ancestors, these old vines are given his special attention, because only around 10 hectares of this particularly deep-rooted variety are still harvested in Germany today.
