Löf at the Mosel
Sunny wine village on the Terrassenmosel
Immediately on the banks of the Mosel, the idyllic wine village presents itself with the former Sternburg, which has been a ruin since a fire. The state-recognized resort also includes the district Kattenes. The twin community has become a tourism community with the aim of preserving ancient cultural heritage and customs for the future. Particularly worth seeing are the village center with the neo-Gothic parish church of St. Lucia, built by the Trier court architect Seiz. Also charming is a side trip to the gorge-like side valley Kattener Mühlental. In this landscape conservation area former grain and oil mills are to be found, which were operated with the water power of the Mühlbach.
