Hatzenport at the Mosel

Lovable wine village in the midst of a unique cultural landscape

Between the steep vineyards of the Terrassenmosel the typical wine village Hatzenport extends directly to the Mosel. Surrounded by striking rock formations and the island of Hatzenporter Werth, many paths through forests and vineyards invite you to hike and reward with fantastic panoramic views of the unique natural landscape with its terraced vineyards. The picturesque town itself is characterized by striking buildings such as the St. John's Church, which towers above Hatzenport in the midst of the vineyards. The second landmark is the 1863 built ferry tower - still visible in the coat of arms of the wine village. For more than a century, a ferry was responsible for crossing the river from the Hunsrück to the Eifel.
