Mosel Hiking Trail Stage 07 - Mehring to Leiwen

This challenging route leads through the woods of Mehringer Switzerland and has some exciting climbs and descents to offer. So it goes on steep trails through fir and spruce forests, through a book Hochwald and a flat peak forest. On the first fifth of the route there will be considerable opportunity for a side trip to the recreational Triolago. Next follows the route as a special highlight a 20-meter-high, wooden lookout tower, an extraordinary "Five lakes view" can be enjoyed from where. Continue downhill to Leiwen, the idyllic wine village on the unspoilt Mosel loops between Trier and Bernkastel-Kues.
